Hey--nice shout out to the venerable State Theatre in Ann Arbor. Beautiful venue for any film. As for PA, I'm not even interested in the genre, I just have to see this movie. I love that this movie received so much buzz, and it was shot on a micro-budget; it gives me hope!

Joan, thanks for your comment, and for the most unexpected link between Tommy Ramone and Paranormal Activity. There's definitely an uncanny air to the collision of nostalgia and reality -- something I feel whenever I see Paul McCartney or Bob Dylan nowadays. I'm like, what cannibalistic act did you old men perform upon those smooth-skinned teenagers?

Hi Bob-- I loved reading this. PA opened in Bloomington last night
and I'm looking forward to seeing it this weekend..
Last night I couldn't go because Tommy Ramone was in town-- playing bluegrass of all things. Although he did break his "uncle monk" character to give us one oldie-- "I wanna be your boyfriend" At any rate, my response to TR was a bit like yours to PA...
